NWCN Morning Forecast Discussion for Tuesday, February 07, 2012
Another spring-like day across the Pacific Northwest, but get ready for changes later today!!
This morning, fog will once again develop in parts of SE Washington and north central and NE Oregon. Some of that fog will be freezing fog, creating icy spots on the roadways. Drivers use caution and be prepared for sudden reductions in visibility. The visibility will be one quarter
mile or less in places. Also, locally windy conditions will occur near the west slopes of the cascades this morning.
Otherwise, mostly sunny today with a few clouds moving in late this afternoon. There could be a few developing showers in SW Oregon,
but dry elsewhere.
Highs today will top out in the low 30's to low 60's.
Another front will bring more widespread showers to the region on Wednesday, with rainfall backing off on Thursday.
Looking ahead, the weekend brings back more rain as we transition back to a more typical wetter regime across the region.
